A Dental Exam for Kids
Children need to undergo a routine checkup every six months starting at around age two. Preventive Treatments

During each visit, after we clean the teeth, we could apply fluoride to them in a varnish form that coats the teeth and strengthens the outer enamel, making cavities less likely. We could also use dental sealants to coat the rear teeth that kids often have trouble brushing and flossing at home, which then limits the risk of cavities forming there for years at a time.
