Friday is here! Which means instead of usual dental topics, we’re going to look at three fun events taking place in the Dallas, TX, area. From light displays to the Science Behind Pixar, there are so many fun things to see and do this weekend! In addition, there is still time to schedule your child’s last checkup and cleaning of 2022 with your Dallas, TX, pediatric dentist.

  1. Lights on the Lake

The Lights on the Lake event takes place from now through December 27th , Thursday through Sunday at 701 West Eldorado Parkway in Little Elm, TX. Admission in advance is $26 for adults, $16 for kids ages 3 to 12, kids three and under get in free. At the door it’s $30 for adults, $20 for kids 3 to 12. Your family can enjoy an amazing light show, hot air balloons, a Ferris wheel and carousel, and pictures with Santa Claus! There is also an ice-skating rink too. Your family can also see live music and dance performances, and there will be food trucks and vendors of all kinds.

  1. The Science Behind Pixar

You and your kids can check out the Science Behind Pixar exhibit at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science at 2201 North Field Street in Dallas, TX. This will be available to see from now through September. The exhibit will require general admission plus a special exhibit ticket. This is $25 for everyone 13 and older, $15 for kids ages 2 to 23, and kids 2 and under are free. The special ticket is $12 per adult, $10 for kids, and children under the age of 2 are free. The 10,000 square foot exhibit is all about the design and technology used to bring your favorite Pixar characters to life, with interactive elements, life size models of famous characters, and displays on specific movies, like Lightyear and Finding Nemo. A great way to escape the cold and have fun with your kids!

  1. Radiance and Frozen in Frisco

Radiance! And Frozen in Frisco takes place from now through December 31st at Riders Field, 7300 Roughriders Trail in Frisco, TX. This outdoor carnival features epic light displays, ice skating, snowballs made of real snow, fun rides, and a chance to meet Santa Claus. Plus, a two-story tubing hill, hot chocolate, bumper cars, and more. Tickets are $38.
