Every Friday, we like to dedicate a blog to events happening in our community. With COVID-19 infection rates on the rise, we like to focus on outdoor, socially distant events or activities that you can enjoy virtually! In today’s blog, your Dallas, TX, pediatric dentist will look at three different events you and your little ones could attend for a spooky good time.   1. Haunted Libraries:

The J. Erik Jonsson Central Library, a part of the Dallas Public Library, will be hosting a fun virtual event just in time for Halloween! The event takes place on October 27th from 6:30pm until 7:30pm. The event is free, so register now to take part! You can hear creepy tales from haunted libraries from the comfort of your own home! The perfect way to get your family ready for the Halloween season.

  1. Pumpkinfest:

Pumpkinfest will take place on Saturday, October 24th from 5:30pm until 8pm at 6022 Preston Crest Lane. The entire festival is free and open to everyone. Pumpkinfest is designed as a safe way for families to enjoy some fun outdoors. There will costume contests, carnival games, prizes and giveaways, and a cakewalk! Kids can take part in a trunk or treat activity that is socially distant. Kids can also play on the inflatable slides and obstacle courses, with safety measures put in place. You can also have pictures taken, enjoy food from trucks, and more.

  1. Trunk Or Treating:

Want a safe way for your child to dress up and receive candy? The One Cause Church in McKinney, TX, is hosting a Trunk or Treat event outdoors! Volunteers handing out candy will wear masks and gloves, and there will also be an inflatable obstacle course, popcorn, cotton candy, and more. The festival is free and open to everyone. You and your family can take part on Saturday, October 24th from 4pm until 6pm at 5088 Baxter Well Road, McKinney, TX, 75071.
