3 Family Friendly Events In Dallas

dallas tx community eventsEach week, we like to look at three fun upcoming events for kids and their family to enjoy! We’re talking about outdoor festivals with plenty of fall flavor and autumn fun. In today’s blog, your Dallas, TX, pediatric dentist talks about these events, and reminds you to bring your child in for his or her next checkup and cleaning visit!

  1. 15th Anniversary Festival

You and your family can enjoy the 15th Anniversary celebration of the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store! This event is free for everyone, and will include free prizes, clowns, raffles, face painting, games, music, rides, and plenty of great food. The entire store is also 40% off, and the celebration starts at 9am on September 24th at 3052 W Northwest Highway.

  1. Autumn at the Arboretum

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden will be hosting their 17th annual Autumn at the Arboretum celebration from September 17th though October 31st. The theme is A Fall Fairy Tale, and there will be fairy tale themed displays throughout the place. Kids can enjoy a ride in Cinderella’s carriage or a magic carpet, and there will be displays of Jack and the Beanstalk, The Three Little Pigs, 1001 Arabian Nights, and the Sword in the Stone. Over 100,000 pumpkins will be on display, as well as 150,00 autumn flowers. Plus, mazes, live music, and more. The arboretum is located at 8525 Garland Road.

  1. Smile Magic Fall Festival

Don’t forget about the Smile Magic Festival, taking place this Saturday from 1pm until 3pm at 10675 East Northwest Highway. This fall festival will include pumpkin painting, truck or treating, games, office tours, and more! Plenty of fun for the entire family to enjoy.

Checkups and Cleanings

Now is a great time to schedule a checkup and cleaning for your little one!
