3 Upcoming Events For Your Family

Each Friday, we like to take a little break from the usual content of our blogs, and instead look at what’s going on in our community. Pretty soon Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks will be here, so you will be looking for fun (and safe) events for your family to attend. Your Dallas, TX, pediatric dentist is looking at four such events. We would also like to remind you to schedule your child’s last checkup and cleaning of 2020 before the holiday season is here, and before your dental insurance benefits expire!

  1. Virtual Holiday Concert

The Astraios Chamber Music is performing a virtual holiday concert of traditional and modern Christmas and holiday favorites! A video of these performances will be shared on their YouTube channel om December 12th, and stay there until December 31st. This virtual concert is a great soundtrack to an evening of decorating the house, waiting for Santa, or just spending time with your family. Find out more by visiting this link.

  1. The Big Texas Read

The Big Texas Read will take place from November 25th through December 23rd online via Zoom. This virtual and state-wide series is a great way for kids and adults alike to find new books and learn more about local fiction and nonfiction writers! The event takes place each evening from 7pm until 9pm every two weeks on Wednesday.   1. Holiday at the Arboretum

You and your family can enjoy a social-distant stroll through the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden on 8525 Garland Road. From November 12th through December 31st, there will be holiday displays available from 9am until 5pm. There will be 25-foot tall gazebos decorated to represent the 12 Days of Christmas, as well as Santa Claus visits, a Christmas Village, and more. There are also refreshments available for purchase, and gifts as well. Admission is $17 for adults, $14 for seniors, and $12 for kids. You can find out more about this event by following this link.
