3 Fun Family Events In Dallas

dallas community events

Each Friday, we take a little break from our usual kids dental topics, to take a look at our community. We’re going to highlight three fun events taking place this weekend and next. We would also like to remind people to see their Dallas, TX, pediatric dentist for treatment before the year ends and dental benefits expire!

  1. Second Sunday Funday:

The second Sunday of every month, the Irving Arts Center will host a hands-on art and craft event for kids of all ages! Parents can work with their kids to complete these projects. On Sunday, November 13th, kids will be creating a sculpture from 1pm until 4pm. The Irving Arts Center is located at 3333 N MacArthur Blvd. This is a great way for everyone to embrace their creativity and create something new!

  1. Family Magic and Comedy:

On Saturday, November 12th from 2pm until 4pm, you and your kids can enjoy a comedic magic show that is appropriate for all ages! This typically takes place every other Saturday, and the doors will open at 1pm. The Addison Improv is located at 4980 Beltline Road.

  1. Dallas Zoo Lights:

Next weekend on Saturday, November 19th, the Dallas Zoo will start their holiday celebrations with their light displays! This is a drive thru experience, with over a million lights turned on as part of a mile route of 3D sculptures. The trail will need a holiday village where your family can enjoy coca, holiday snacks, and pictures in front of a 30-foot Christmas tree. Some nights will have musical performances! The zoo is located at 650 S. RL Thornton Freeway.

Use Your Benefits!

If you have dental insurance for your child, then you have benefits that will expire unless used before midnight on December 31st. We urge parents to bring their children in for the last checkup and cleaning of 2022, so we can help little smiles start a new year bright and healthy. You can not only use your hard-earned benefits, but we can start care now before the hectic holiday season complicates your schedule. Our team can discuss preventive treatments to keep cavities at bay, like fluoride gel and dental sealants, or treatments for aching teeth like fillings and crowns.

If you have any questions about treating little smiles, then contact our team today to learn more. We want to help smiles in our community stay healthy, bright, and strong.
