Virtual Events For The Entire Family

Occasionally, we like to take a break from our usual dental topics to talk to our patients and their families about community events. However, with the pandemic still underway in the United States, we want to focus on virtual events instead. In today’s blog, your Dallas, TX, pediatric dentist will look at a few fun virtual events the whole family can enjoy!

State Fair of Texas Educational Classes

The State Fair of Texas has a number of resources online for kids in grades 4 through 12, which can be downloaded and viewed on their website. There are courses focused on STEM subjects, including math, science, and engineering, and also a course on Texas civil rights icon Juanita Craft. There is a fun coloring book your little ones can download too!

Dallas Museum of Art

The Dallas Museum of Art offers an incredible collection of art from different eras and mediums, which you can view in person or if you prefer, online! When you visit their website, you will find the entire collection of 25,000 works of art can be easily viewed online, and even downloaded too. There are also behind-the-scenes blogs and videos, virtual exhibits, and more!

Dallas Children’s Theater

The Dallas Children’s Theater has a host of fun content available online! Your family can find high-quality recordings of their latest productions, enroll and participate in classes for children and teens, and watch fun and informative behind-the-scenes content about creating new productions. There are also fun contests, such as a mask designing and decorating competition! A great way to keep your children engaged and active while staying home.

Shelter in Place Concert Series

Live music is an amazing experience for kids and adults alike, but at the moment due to safety concerns, most concerts and performances are on hiatus. However, on Sunday August 9th and Sunday August 16th, The Black Academy Of Arts and Letters will host a one-hour virtual concert featuring rarely seen live performances from amazing musicians.

You can also find fun virtual events and videos of the Dallas and Fort Worth Zoos and other destinations in the DFW area, so in addition to the content we discussed above, you can do your own research online too! We hope you and your family continue to practice social distancing and take steps to stay safe, and we hope to see you soon for a checkup and cleaning.
