What and Where Is Dallas Comedy House?

Dallas Comedy House is located in Deep Ellum at 3036 Elm Street, Dallas, TX. The theater was established in 2009 to bring improv comedy to Dallas. Since then, they have added classes and shows not only for improv, but stand up, sketch, storytelling, and, as of this winter, musical improv! They are also a restaurant and bar, with the option to order from your seat while watching a show. While most of their shows and classes are geared towards adults, they recognize the importance of having an option that is suitable for the whole family. So, every Saturday night, they perform the Family Friendly Show!

What Is the Family Friendly Show?

The Family Friendly Show is a short form improv show that includes short scenes and games with lots of audience participation. Audience members of all ages are encouraged, but never forced, to help the performers by giving suggestions and even coming onstage to perform alongside them! The performers are seasoned improvisers who are pros at making stuff up as they go, which makes them great at working with younger audience members to create a show that will leave everyone laughing.

The Family Friendly Show at Dallas Comedy House takes place every Saturday night from 6 PM until 7 PM, with seating beginning 30 minutes before showtime. Since they’re also a full restaurant and bar,  you can come hungry and have dinner before the show in the bar area, or during the show at your seat!

My Family Loves to Laugh! How Do I Get Tickets?

Tickets are available at the door or for advance purchase online through the Dallas Comedy House website. Tickets are $5 for children under 18, and children under 2 get in free. Tickets for adults are $10 in advance, or $15 at the door. A family of four package- which includes two adult tickets and two child tickets- is $25 in advance or $30 at the door, making this an affordable, fun outing for the whole family.
