Need A Funny Family Holiday Boost? (And It’s Free!)

If you are ready to sit and grab a breath amidst the holiday hustle, how about a free and family-friendly movie, sponsored by the Dallas Public Library? Charles Dickens’ timeless story of Scrooge and Marley was adapted by the folks at Jim Henson’s muppet studio, and Disney Productions, and released as The Muppet Christmas Carol in 1992. Just as Dickens’ story of humbug, greed and redemption has stood the test of time, so has this big-hearted movie. It’s sure to put a smile on your child’s face in Dallas, TX.
The showing is on Sunday, December 15, 2019, from 2-3:30 pm. The library is open from 1-5 pm on most Sundays, so you can plan to come early, or stay afterwards, and check out their books, audiobooks, DVDs, music selections and more, while you are there!
Is This Movie For All Ages?
The movie is family friendly, and rated G. Most children will be thrilled at the songs, music and spectacle on screen. There are clips posted online, if you want to search for the movie title, and watch a trailer to get a sense of the movie in advance.
How May I Learn More?
