Mikael Garces, DDS

Dr. Garces was born and raised in South Texas on the outskirts of town on her grandfather’s farm. They raised goats, cows, and enjoyed countless Texas sunsets. Her upbringing has been the framework of her personal and professional career. One of her greatest challenges was moving halfway across the state to pursue her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University at College Station (Whoop!). She loved her time there and found a home away from home with her Aggie family. Many of those friendships continued on to Baylor College of Dentistry where she completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

After receiving her doctorate, she went on to serve with the National Health Service Corps in a community health clinic in rural Colorado. This is where she found her true calling and passion–working with kiddos! Following her commitment, she returned to Dallas to complete her pediatric dental residency at Children’s Medical Center Dallas, Texas Scottish Rite, and Texas A&M College of Dentistry where she received extensive training in special health care needs and comprehensive dental care under both general anesthesia and oral sedation.

As a pediatric dentist, she enjoys being able to experience the world through her patient’s eyes. In doing so, she’s able to connect with them on a level that they feel seen, heard, and safe to have all their dental needs met. She strives to foster relationships with her patients so they can together build a solid foundation for a lifetime of dental health.

She is an active member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Greater Dallas Pediatric Dental Society, and Dallas County Dental Society. I am currently pursuing board certification with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

When she’s not in the office, you can find her exploring the world (she’s been to 30 countries and counting!), trying out new restaurants, following Formula 1, or taking her sweet rescue pups Molly & Tanner on long walks in her neighborhood
