If you happen to find February 2nd to be a fun-filled way to celebrate the transition of winter to spring (whether it’s sooner or later), then you and your kids can expect a super-enjoyable time at the upcoming Groundhog Day Celebration at the Dallas Arboretum!
What Is This?
This is probably the most entertaining experience you will ever have celebrating Groundhog Day! It’s full of just about every activity you could ever hope for as you wait to see whether or not the groundhog is going to see its shadow! Let’s run through some of the highlights your family will soak up with delight:
- The Arboretum’s groundhog, Arboretum Annie, will be your meteorologist for the day (with the assistance of WFAA’s human meteorologist, Colleen Coyle), offering the full groundhog experience!
- You’ll gobble up some delicious breakfast and morning drinks (for an additional cost)
- There will be photo ops, crafts, and even a hat contest (so wear any hat if you’d like to partake!)
- You’ll get to watch the film Groundhog Day, too!

The event will be taking place on Groundhog Day, February 2nd, 2019 from 7am to 9am.

This event requires general admission, which is a promotional $5 per person (or free for children younger than two).
