Learn More About Christmas at Northpark Center

Have your kids started asking you a lot of questions about the history of Christmas or other holidays? Do their questions only serve to remind you that you don’t actually know that much about the origin of the holiday, yourself? If so, the resident storyteller from the Dallas Museum of Art, Ann Marie Newman, will be in the NorthCourt at Northpark Center at 10:30 a.m. on November 30, 2016 for a holiday-themed storytime called Holidays Around the World, being sponsored by Bookmarks. This will be a fun chance to learn more, alongside your kids, about the origins of many holiday traditions from all around the world, through stories, songs, and art. Of course, it will also be a good chance to squeeze in some holiday shopping, afterwards, as well.

Have You Heard of Bookmarks Center?

Many people don’t realize that the Dallas Public Library has a permanent location called Bookmarks inside Northpark Center. Bookmarks is responsible for sponsoring this and other events throughout the year. Its location on the first floor of the mall, between Nordstrom and Macy’s, is also home to free Wifi and a children’s early learning center, specially for kids 12 and under. There is also a regular storytime, and even homework help. Bookmarks is open from 10 to 6, Monday through Saturday, and closed on Tuesday. It is also open from 12 to noon on Sunday.

For more information about upcoming events there, and at other DPL locations, call 214.671.1381 or visit [email protected].

Northpark Center is located at 8687 North Central Expressway, Suite 1514, Dallas, Texas 75255.
